The FDA is currently collecting comments about the Food Additive Petitions. This measure provides that additives shall be deemed unsafe unless their use is permitted by a regulation that perscribes the condition under which it may safely be used, or unless they are exempted by regulation for investigational use. FDA is accepting comments until February 18th.
