The Natural Products Foundation's mission is to enhance and promote the integrity of natural products through quality, science and education.

Foundation Programs
The Natural Products Foundation has recently launched two key self-regulatory initiatives in 2007 that will be pivotal in increasing consumer confidence, knowledge and trust in industry products.
The first is a dietary supplement truth-in-advertising standards program that will educate publishers and advertisers about complying with existing regulations. The second is a laboratory testing program that will help industry and consumers evaluate dietary supplement products.
While the foundation's initial programs are focused on dietary supplements, the scope of the organization is not limited to this one category of natural products. In fact, future programs already under discussion involve standard setting for natural health and beauty products, one of the industry's fastest growing categories. Also under discussion is establishing a definition of the term "natural" as it applies to foods and other industry products.
